Formed in late 2021 straight out of Lockdown, SUSAN is the amalgamation of three friends and|
one baby-boomer uncle on drums. SUSAN layers high-energy alt-rock improv on top of a percussion section that was there in the front row when Bonham was alive.

The once trio (now quartet) writes music to spin roots rock into a louder more palpable form
for a post-pandemic world.

Susan are gritty, raw and simply a joy to watch. Never short of a guitar solo or a garage rock riff, the band are one of London’s most lively underground power-trios
— Tyler Bloor - Head of Live for GotoBeat

After their debut gig at the Slaughtered Lamb in May 2022, SUSAN have built a loyal following across London, and have gone from playing support at the Water Rats, Camden Assembly and the Gunners to headlining at the Fiddler's Elbow, 93 Feet East and the Finsbury. And in 2023 they ventured west to play a charity gig at the Gloucester Brewery. SUSAN's mission is to take their riotous swan songs to every festival, pub, brewery, club, village hall or backroom that'll have them.

The irreverent and energetic sound proposed by this band intrigued me.
A typically English, wild and experimental compositional style that demonstrates a highly developed artistic taste.
I would see the new single Cheese & Wine well as the soundtrack of a Tarantino film.
— Edgar Allan Poets

SUSAN's first single ‘How Long’ is the desperation song of a soul that is sick of its own introspection. After years and years of contemplating your own self-involved story to realise life exists outside of yourself., how long will you compromise on happiness? How long will you live a life full of worry?

‘Cheese & Wine’ was written in the wake of a government scandal that runs and runs. Betray your country. Abuse your power. Lose every shred of integrity, dignity & humanity. All for Cheese and Wine. A song born out of pure exasperation that gives two fingers to all the selfish actions of our ‘leaders’. Come join in.

In a time of political turmoil and unrest when the government is in a mess and the citizens exasperated at their complete inefficiency and altogether callous and even self-indulgent behaviour. ‘Cheese & Wine’ is a punk rock anthem for the times, with a precise message and indictment to a particular moment in the political climate
— Find No Enemy

SUSAN’s trio of debut songs is completed by ‘Better Way’. The beating heart sound of that courage you finally summoned to get up out of your chair and do something with your life. The courage you may now use to tippy tappy your feet along to this sonic force of optimism, frustration and vengeful energy.

If you’ve found a better way to spend your life, this is your anthem.

‘How Long’, ‘Cheese & Wine’ and 'Better Way' were recorded in Gun Factory Studios and engineered and mixed by Ian Flynn @werkhouse who’s worked with numerous acts including MOSES, Hozier, and Rose Dive.
